Uniform Information

School Uniform

 

At St Mary's we set high expectations for all.  Part of this is the non-negotiable expectation that all children will wear the correct school uniform when attending school.

 

Children wearing school uniform promotes a sense of pride and belonging the school and  of our wonderful community. School uniform has a positive impact on good behaviour and attitudes in school.

Grey or black skirt. trousers or school shorts

Light blue or white blouse, shirt or polo shirt

Navy blue cardigan, jumper or sweatshirt

White, grey or black socks or grey tights

Black shoes(low heels) or trainers (These must be predominantly black)

Warm waterproof coat appropriate for the time of year. 

Hair accessories must be in black, grey, or navy blue (Large bows are not acceptable)

To prevent the spread of nits (Should we have them) shoulder length hair must be tied up

Plain white t-shirt

Black shorts

Black pumps / trainers

During the colder weather pupils may wear plain black jogging bottoms and sweatshirts for outdoor games and P.E

Please note, it is not compulsory to purchase from our uniform supplier. Although we have compared costs of local suppliers to provide best value, you may purchase items from clothing shops or supermarkets which may be available at a lower cost.

 

Please ensure your children are wearing the correct school uniform everyday. Parents of children not wearing the correct uniform will be contacted and asked to bring in the correct uniform or spare uniform will be provided. 

 

Please remember that we are a school of 233 children.  Should your child not have a name in their clothing, then we will be unable to locate it.

 

Please could you ensure that you put your child's name on items of clothing so they can be returned if lost. 

 

 

We have a pre-loved uniform sale at the hub for items that have been donated to school and are in good condition. This is a great way to save money and help the environment.
