History
Our History curriculum is based on the requirements of the National Curriculum, with additional units taught across school to increase children’s understanding of the history of the area they live in. These include, the history of the coal industry and the life and work of Alan Turing and his impact on WW2 and Manchester. The National Curriculum statements are broad and cover entire key stages, so these have been broken down to ensure learning is deep and builds on that of previous years.
