Design and Technology
In Design and Technology, our aim is to promote curiosity in our children and to prepare them for our changing technological world. We intend to encourage children to become independent and creative problem-solvers, both as individuals and as part of a team. Design and Technology enables children to identify needs and opportunities and to respond by developing ideas and eventually making products and systems. Through the study of Design and Technology, children will develop the confidence in choosing appropriate tools and materials for specific tasks and they will draw on other knowledge across subjects such as maths, science, computing and art.
