Shape
During our learning about 2D and 3D shapes in maths, Year 3 showed exceptional skills in making their own shapes using art straws. Take a look at some of our 3D shapes that we made here. Our team working skills were really important here too!
Plants
During our plants topic we enjoyed lots of fun activities including going on a plant hunt in our school grounds and learning about seed dispersal. We made our own 'helicopter seeds' and found out how some seeds are dispersed by spinning in the wind!
The Greeks
Here are some pictures from our Ancient Greek topic. During this topic we tasted Greek foods, learnt a Greek dance, looked at some Greek artefacts and even designed and made our own Greek masks.
Learning about our local area
On Friday 8th October we went on a walk around our local area. We spotted some of the human and physical characteristics we had been learning about as well as different types of houses. We even went for a walk around the park and found out about the Moston Dig!
The Stone Age
As part of our learning all about the Stone Age, we went out one afternoon in the school grounds for a Stone Age art lesson. We enjoyed making a variety of things using things that we found outside. The only extra thing we were allowed was string. Look at the variety we produced!
